Martha Kalifatidis says she she regrets getting breast implants 15 years ago as she shares the results of her $15,000 explant surgery

Martha Kalifatidis says she underwent $15,000 explant surgery after regretting getting breast implants 15 years ago.

The Married At First Sight star, 36, had her breast implants removed at St Vincent's Private Hospital in Melbourne on Wednesday.

Martha, whose bust grew to an F-cup bra size while she was pregnant last year, paid around $15,000 for the procedure by breast surgery specialist Hamish Farrow.

The reality TV star took to TikTok on Thursday to show fans the results of the surgery and admitted she wishes she had done it sooner.

Giving advice to young women considering getting breast implants, she said: 'If you are thinking about getting breast implants, think long and hard about it.

'It shouldn't just be something that you go ''f**k it, I'm just going to do it''. And if you're young, just wait until you're like 25.

'If you still want to do it at 25, go and do it, but I just think long and hard, I wish I never got mine in.

'I wish I had done [the explant surgery] so much sooner, I wish I had done it years ago,'

Martha stripped down to a post-surgical compression bra and tracksuit bottoms as she debuted her new, smaller bust.

She appeared very pleased with the results as she looked down at her bustline.

'I'm pretty flat, I feel really flat,' she said. 'This is a lot of swelling up here, but if you look at me from the side, you can tell that I definitely have a lot smaller bust. Also look how long it's made my torso look, so long!'

Martha said she has no pain following the surgery and doesn't have any external stitches as she detailed the recovery process.

'I actually feel really good, I have no pain. There is literally no pain whatsoever, it has blown my mind. I would have done it so much sooner if I'd have known how easy it is,' she shared.

'I can even shower today, apparently I have no external stitches, I haven't had a good look at the full thing yet because I've got two compression bras on.'

Martha said the explant surgery cost around $15,000 in total - which included $12,000 for the surgeon's fees, while her insurance covered her $1,000 hospital stay and $2,000 anesthetic costs.

Detailing the procedure itself, Martha told how she waited for around three hours before going in for the 2.5 hour explant operation.

She then spent the rest of the day in the recovery area and stayed overnight at the hospital before her husband Michael Brunelli picked her up on Thursday morning.

Martha said her implants were in good condition when they were removed.

'My implants, when they were removed, were in perfect condition, so they weren't ruptured, there was nothing wrong with them,' she shared.

'I have wanted to have my implants removed for a few years now. Probably around three years ago, just before I got pregnant, I had this feeling that I just wanted them out.'

Martha said she began to 'feel' and become more aware of the implants, so decided she to have them taken out, but couldn't have the surgery as she then fell pregnant with her son Lucius, now 17 months.

The influencer said she will be able to fall pregnant again as soon as two months after the explant surgery as she shared her desire to grow her family.

She said her doctor warned her that her breasts may change shape if she does fall pregnant, but Martha insisted she is not concerned.

'At this stage in my life, I really don't give a f**k about having the perkiest boobs in town, like I'm 36, I don't care,' she shared.

Martha previously revealed that her bust grew to an F-cup bra size after her pregnancy and was eager for her chest to 'shrink' back its normal size.

She shared on social media at the time: 'I just stopped [breastfeeding] a few weeks ago. Slowly kinda just started skipping feeds. He's on formula and he's started solids.

'He loves food! Now hopefully these G-cup boobs start to shrink.'

Martha and Michael met on season six of MAFS in 2019, becoming engaged for real in 2021, before welcoming their first child two years later
