The mother-of-one revealed that her recent boat trip was a learning curve with her stoma bag as she hadn't been on a plane or boat since having the procedure.

The reality star almost died during the birth of her son in 2021 and was left with post traumatic stress disorder. She revealed in April that she had been fitted with a stoma after years of battling with ulcerative colitis.

In her candid post on Thursday, Louise admitted she had 'come incredibly close to having a leak' after being out all day enjoying herself during her Mallorca trip.

She explained: 'Someone said they couldn’t make the day trip on the boat because they had IBS, and I thought … ‘Gosh, poor them, thank goodness that’s not me anymore’.

'Then I remembered that I had a stoma attached to my stomach and accidentally blurted out loud - ‘What the bloody hell am I doing on this boat’?

'I’d never been on a boat with a stoma before. I’d never been on an aeroplane with a stoma before. I’d never even had a leak before. So I guess this trip was full of firsts.

'I noticed that when I finally managed to visit a loo back in my room after a long day spent travelling via air and then straight out and onto making local Mallorcan food for dinner, that I had indeed come incredibly close to having a leak. In fact, I can confirm that I had a leak in the lift because the whole thing had blown up, burst through the seal and onto my skin... but it hadn’t crept out any further. YET.'

She continued: 'I think we were moments away from a Leo-style explosion. THANK THE LORD for the angels looking out for me, protecting me from this humiliation because I happened to be wearing a white lace dress that evening and things could have got pretty interesting (messy), very quickly.

'I do have an overly active/ hypervigilant/speedy fight or flight response, so I’m sure that I would have found a solution as quick as you can say Hola, but I’m relieved that I haven’t been put in that sort of situation in public yet.

'I’ve definitely been through worse things so I’m a bit like hmmm, whatever, but the fact I've never even been smart enough to take supplies out the house w/me doesn’t exactly bode well when planning for every eventuality.

'I foolishly didn’t even take any in my hand luggage at the airport. Gosh being trapped on a plane, or a boat, or at some Mallorcan Mantecadas masterclass would be hell.

'I can’t imagine people would be relishing in eating their food whilst standing next to me. I honestly buckled over with relief when I tapped that automatic room key on the door. I used up an extra supply (bags etc) and then realised two days later that I hadn’t actually packed enough for the trip. Chaos.

Louise went onto ask fans for 'advice' about 'stoma supplies' before revealing that her stoma bag had leaked and admitted she is still 'learning'.

'Please send help/advice/ a masterclass in stoma supplies and preparing for these things. I actually feel very lucky to be on a WhatsApp group with a bunch of girls who have gone through similar things and they can advise on things like travel insurance covering blockages etc. but if you guys have any extra advice then please feel free to comment and keep spreading the love.

'Anyway, back to the boat. I’ve never had a leak before and couldn’t understand how others actually had at this point, but I must have had one because of the air pressure wreaking havoc on my colon which had then caused air to get in the bag (or forced air out of me) either way there was something different going on.

'Now I’d leaked for the first time I didn’t know if it would happen again. And if I had to empty the bag on the boat then I’d be in trouble, let alone having a full blown leak because I had no supplies.

'The skipper had announced right at the beginning that no one was allowed to throw any loo roll down the loo and I was going to be stick on this thing until lunch which was several hours in total.

'Thankfully I survived. The biggest issue ended up being the rain. Hey, there’s nothing like a trip overseas with medical ailments to remind you that every day is a school day. ❤️'

Louise recently published her book Lucky which details her health battles over the past three years.

She shared the news of having a stoma bag fitted with her Instagram followers in early April, as she bravely admitted it is 'not something she wanted to hide forever'.

The television personality has previously spoken about her ongoing struggles with the bowel condition ulcerative colitis as well as the autoimmune disease lupus.

Ulcerative colitis is a chronic bowel condition where the colon and rectum become inflamed and small ulcers develop on the colon's lining, which can bleed. The condition has no cure, but can be effectively managed with time.

Earlier this year she spent two weeks in hospital after suffering a ulcerative colitis flare up during a holiday with Ryan and Leo.
