'I am delighted to be a part of bringing the spirit of Wimbledon to New York City, creating an iconic event that blends the excitement of world-class tennis with the vibrant energy of this incredible city.'

The Hill in New York sees Wimbledon take over Empire Fulton Ferry at Brooklyn Bridge Park to recreate its iconic 'Hill', the famous vantage point for fans to gather and enjoy tennis on the big screen.

With sweeping views over Manhattan and live tennis on show, fans in New York will be able to enjoy a quintessential Wimbledon experience from afar.

On Monday, Nicole - who has been engaged for a little over a year to former rugby union player Thom Evans - made a solo appearance at The Wimbledon Championships.

She told MailOnline: 'I love the tradition. I love that everyone dresses up. I love the Royals box. I love the strawberries and cream. I just love the sport.

'I'm very competitive by nature, so I just love that you get to watch people at their best with their skill and they're masters of what they do.

'Obviously I'm American, but I'm an adopted Brit. So I get to bring the hill here to New York. I'm honored that they asked me to be the artist to do their  concert for Wimbledon on the hill.

'I'm gonna be back home and singing and get everybody up and dancing to the classics.'

Nicole recently gave an update on a Pussycat Dolls reunion amid the iconic girl group being sued by their founder, Robin Antin.

'I love my Dolls,' she told MailOnline. 'I love the Pussycat Dolls. So, I always say never say never.'

The Pussycat Dolls - made up of Nicole, Melody Thornton, Kaya Jones, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt - officially went their separate ways in 2010.

However, a reunion tour was set to happen in 2020, but plans were dashed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

'I'm obviously in a different place in my life right now,' Nicole continued, 'but you never know what the future holds.'

As for whether the pop star still keeps in touch with her former bandmates, she confirmed, 'We are still in contact.'

'I'm really happy for the girls,' stated Nicole. 'I see them, I love keeping up with them on their Instagram's and everybody is just thriving and looking good while they're doing it!'

Robin first founded the Pussycat Dolls in 1995 as a burlesque troupe before they rose to stardom as pop stars in 2005.

Then, in 2021, the choreographer sued Nicole for breach of contract, accusing the Dancing with the Stars contestant of refusing to join the tour unless she could have complete creative control and a majority share.

Nicole denied Robin's claims and has since continued to focus on her own music.

She said: 'I'm always working on music, so I can't wait to be able to share some of the new musical projects that I'm working on in the future. But that time will come. One thing at a time everything in its own time.'

Along with new tunes, Nicole is also set to make her Broadway debut as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard this fall.

'It's crazy, I've done the West End twice and I've never gone to Broadway,' the former X Factor judge shared with the Daily Mail. 'This is my very first time, I'm making my debut as Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, the beautiful Andrew Lloyd Webber musical with my brilliant director Jamie Lloyd.'

Nicole noted that she is 'so excited' and that Broadway will be 'a dream come true for me.'

'I've always dreamed as a little girl of going to the theatre and now I'm doing it as Norma and all the stars have aligned,' she said. 'I couldn't have imagined a better time and a better role and a better everything. So, I'm feeling really blessed and excited.'

Touching on the role of Norma, Nicole confessed: 'It's an extremely demanding role. Anyone who knows Sunset Boulevard knows the role of Norma. I lay it out there, all on the line and I leave it all out there every single performance, but it's a blessing because it's what I love.

'For me, I always say you have to do everything a hundred and ten percent. Every time you have to make it count. Otherwise, what are you doing?'

Nicole first shared the good news on social media in March.

'I can't believe I'M GOING TO BROADWAY!!! Making my actual BROADWAY DEBUT with @andrewlloydwebber and @jamielloyd's sunsetblvdmusical !,' she wrote on Instagram.

'In celebration I wanted to share a few memories of some of the beautiful humans who came out to support our London show!'

Nicole shared a selfie with 'Broadway 2024' written on a mirror in lipstick , a backstage video alongside Simon Cowell, a snap with Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen and a selfie with Macy Gray, just to name a few.

The Buttons artist previously starred in the West End revival of the production in London in 2023.

In April, Nicole won for Best Actress in a Musical at the Oliver Awards.

'It is an honor, joy and privilege to be recognized for your work. I am so very proud to say I am now, an Olivier Award Winner,' she gushed on Instagram, sharing a picture of herself holding the trophy. 'I'm back where I was born to be.'

Posting a clip of her acceptance speech, Nicole said to the audience, 'As a little girl growing up in Kentucky, coming from really humble beginnings, I always wanted to be a singer and do musicals and I dreamed of so many roles that I wanted to do and honestly this role - Norma Desmond - was not one of those roles.'

The Masked Singer alum continued, 'I was like, 'What are you thinking,' but God works in mysterious ways because it's honestly one of the ballsiest and bravest things that I've ever done and I've had the incomparable director Jamie Lloyd to thank for that.'
