🗞 As someone who consumes news in many formats / channels - online, social, audio and even print (will always love my magazines and weekend newspapers), it’s magical to have most of what you love in one place (ahem, Yahoo News). 💫 It’s even more magical to say that the Yahoo News app is going through a major glow up with next-level personalization from Artifact. 🙌 In a world where it sometimes feels overwhelming to cut through so much information, sometimes you want the tl;dr. Other times, you want to dig in, read the full article (and then another and another), and share highlights seamlessly on social or in group text threads with your BFFs. The new Yahoo News app launches today and it’s awesome - here are some of the reasons why: 📱 AI-Powered Personalized Feed 📝 Key Takeaways to summarize articles 🚩 Ability to Block Keywords and Flag Clickbait 💫 Easy one-touch Sharing Tools 🔥 Badges and Streaks to share with friends Learn more in this WIRED exclusive by Boone Ashworth https://lnkd.in/gs-V-4vp 📰 Katelyn Brehony 🗞 Estela Weinmann 📰 Caragh Fisher O'Connor 🗞 Kat Downs Mulder 🗞 Andrew Machado 📰

🤫 Ok, I have a confession to make: I have 10K emails in my personal inbox and hundreds are still unread. Sometimes, I find it challenging to keep up with all of the school emails with event details, notes on what to pack or get done, or a special theme day. It seems that I’m not alone - according to a recent Censuswide survey, the majority of parents and caregivers (62%) admit to missing an important event or detail, and email is to blame. With young kids in three different classrooms, I make a true effort to keep up but have often wished that life management through email could be easier. This also rings true for many parents who wish for summarizations of emails, easy calendar integration and other features to simplify and save time. 💅 That’s why I’m even more thrilled about Yahoo's latest news, particularly from the perspective of a parent. 🎉 Today, we’re rolling out the redesigned Yahoo Mail with AI-powered message summaries, quick actions, and intuitive design to help make email and task management easier than ever. 📬 Check out this The Verge story from Sheena Vasani to learn more! 📫 Katelyn Brehony 📫 Estela Weinmann 📫 Stacey Pond 📫 Rob Gelick 📫 Kyle Miller 📫

Earlier this week, Yahoo Finance launched a premium experience offering new content and tools - including new series, subscription plans, news partnerships, creators, and more - for investors of today and tomorrow! Today, Yahoo Finance has 150 million global monthly visitors - including me personally, many of my friends, students I recently met at USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism (thx to Professor Burghardt Tenderich!), and even my 10-year-old son who is keen to learn about investing. Only fitting that Tapan Bhat, President and GM of Yahoo Finance, rang the bell at Nasdaq in Times Square to celebrate the moment. Much of the awesome content comes to life thanks to our new NYC studio that Thomson Reuters' Chris Taylor shares more about below! https://lnkd.in/gwXyvueS 💰Tapan Bhat 💰 Katelyn Brehony 💰 Noemi Esparza (エスパルサ 乃恵美)

🎧 This week’s must listen 🎧 Kara Swisher poses a great question (no surprises there) in her recent conversation with Yahoo CEO Jim Lanzone: “Can Yahoo bring back the ‘good internet’? They discuss Yahoo’s nearly 30-year history as well where the company is headed, including progress and plans for innovation across our portfolio of consumer and partner products (like Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo News and Yahoo Advertising). 👀 Spoiler alert 👀 a few special guests - Yahoo co-founder, Jerry Yang, and former Yahoo President Sue Decker - raised questions to Jim about Yahoo’s identity and what we’re doing to reach Gen Z. Tune in to learn more and let me know what you think! https://lnkd.in/g38XVuwF
