We all know Frosty the Snowman — corncob pipe, button nose, two eyes made out of coal, etc. This year, the classic snowman of Christmas carol fame is getting a handsome makeover in the form of a new holiday romantic comedy starring Lacey Chabert. In the aptly titled Hot Frosty, Chabert plays a widow who gets a new perspective on life after she falls for a good looking but oddly familiar stranger — who also strangely resembles the ice sculpture she created.

Two years after losing her husband, Cathy magically brings a handsome snowman to life! Through his naivete, the snowman helps Cathy to laugh, feel and love again, as the two fall for each other just in time for the holidays...and before he melts.

The cast of Hot Frosty includes:

Also joining the cast is Selling Sunset scene-stealer Chrishell Stause, who tells Tudum she had a magical time on set. “I absolutely love Christmas, so to walk up to a set that is a full town completely decked out, I got instantly excited!”

Still, for Stause, the highlight was getting to film with co-star Chabert. “She is the absolute sweetest,” she says. “When someone is the star of the movie and yet so gracious to everyone regardless of how big their part is, it makes for such a happy crew and experience.”

And if you’re wondering what she’s queuing up for her own holiday season watchlist, look no further: “My latest favorite holiday movie to watch would have to be Single All the Way,” she says. “A holiday movie with Jennifer Coolidge was needed! Amen to that.

When will Hot Frosty be on Netflix?

Hot Frosty slides onto Netflix this holiday season. It joins Our Little Secret starring Lindsay Lohan and Meet Me Next Christmas starring Christina Milian on the Netflix holiday 2024 slate.
