Antonia Gentry and Haley Lu Richardson Are Your 2023 SAG Award Ambassadors

They’ll take you behind the scenes of the ceremony on Feb. 26.

Antonia Gentry and Haley Lu Richardson are trading in murderous dramas for the SAG Awards red carpet. The Ginny & Georgia and White Lotus actors have been named ambassadors for the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which will stream live on Netflix’s YouTube channel on Sunday, Feb. 26. As ambassadors, Gentry and Richardson will present on the show and give viewers a backstage pass to exclusive behind-the-scenes moments. They’ll also participate in preshow events like the SAG Awards Ambassador Dinner presented by Campari, the official spirits sponsor of the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, on Feb. 16 at Gwen Butcher Shop & Restaurant.

According to SAG, the awards ambassadors are “actors who exemplify the utmost values of the profession and are positive role models for the next generation of performers.” They also must use their platforms to advocate for humanitarian causes or public service endeavors. Mirroring Ginny & Georgia’s respectful but up-front approach to mental health, Gentry is an advocate who’s worked with Mental Health America and IDONTMIND’s Our Future In Mind, a mental health summit offering virtual training for students to learn mental health awareness and advocacy skills. Meanwhile, Richardson, who starred alongside Cole Sprouse in the 2019 film Five Feet Apart, is a supporter of the Claire’s Place Foundation, which provides support to families of children and to individuals diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

You can follow Gentry (@_antoniagentry_) and Richardson (@haleyluhoo) on Instagram leading up to the big night. The Screen Actors Guild Awards will be broadcast on YouTube.com/Netflix at at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
