Unfrosted Reviews
Unfrosted feels like a movie no one really asked for, and in many ways, it is precisely that.

The jokes aren’t funny, and the cartoonish characters are mostly annoying. It feels like extended Seinfeld bits or SNL skits that don’t quite land. A total waste of all-star-cast.

One thing 'Unfrosted' suffers from is the lack of spark needed to make what may be more or less witty on paper work on screen (Full Review in Spanish).

This unfunny film is banking on manufactured whimsy and string of celebrity cameos to distract from the lack of substance. If everyone involved in this isn’t embarrassed, they should be.

Unfrosted is a huge disappointment. The trailer made it seem like it could be a fun comedy with an amazing cast. Instead, it ends up being an almost boring, completely unfunny movie that wastes one of the best casts to appear in a comedy in some time.

Unfrosted takes itself seriously, which makes the story of betrayal, envy, ambition and even death, all the more silly.

While the film plays out like the ultimate dad joke movie, even the groaners earn some smiles and when the satire hits it earns your more pronounced laughter.

As a director, Seinfeld shows no signs of knowing when to reign it in and when to let his cast loose.

Older viewers, especially will save 'Unfrosted.'

Seinfeld's directorial debut is jam-packed (pun intended) with ideas, '60s references, cameos, and general nonsense, and audiences can enjoy watching its giddy crew of entertainers having a ball.

Unfrosted is silly, amicable and kind of goes off the rails, but the January 6 reenactment with food mascots and the cereal funeral are so stinking weird that you can’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.

While “Unfrosted” won’t prompt a sequel, it is a giddy, frivolous look at something kids once held dear.

Jerry Seinfeld’s debut as a feature film writer and director is a mess. His breakfast pastry-themed 1960s farce plays like he shot every idea he had and made it into a 93-minute movie, regardless of whether they worked together or were particularly funny.

Unevenly scripted by director Jerry Seinfeld and his TV usual writers as flaky, high-fructose fun. there are a litany of celebrity cameos, the best of which features Jon Hamm & John Slattery satirizing their ad execs in 'Mad Men.'

It’s silly -- and, if you’re in the right mood, it’s fun. It reminds us that much of the comedy on Seinfeld was pretty goofy, which is part of why people loved it.

Approach this movie as you would a bowl of Cap’n Crunch. Know going in that the sugar high will likely give way to deep remorse.

Unfrosted is silly and dumb, but it’s meant to be silly and dumb. You don’t expect it to take anything seriously and it really, really doesn’t.

This is a funny, silly, and ridiculous film in the best way.

It’s the cinematic version of a Seinfeld bit: casual, trivial, and loose with the truth. It’s great in stand up, but stretched to a ninety-minute film it feels like a box of empty calories.

Everything is tossed at the wall and, like Pop-Tarts’ gooey filling, much of it sticks.
