Hawthorne Ridge Park

Hawthorne Ridge Park is home to the Wayne County Parks Dog Park and the Bike Park & Pump Track.

WAYNE COUNTY PARKS DOG PARK

The Wayne County Parks Dog Park is located at Hawthorne Ridge Park in Westland. The three acre park is conveniently located near restrooms and has a small and large dog park area. There is also agility equipment for the dogs to play on and two small shelters.

The Wayne County Parks Dog Park is located at Hawthorne Ridge Park in Westland (Hines Drive, west of Merriman Road). The address for the dog park is 32401 Edward Hines Drive in Westland, Michigan.

Registration for the the new season of the Wayne County Parks Dog Park is now open.

All dogs must be registered at the Wayne County Parks office in the Nankin Mills building in Westland. Click HERE for the dog park registration paperwork. The address for the Nankin Mills is 33175 Ann Arbor Trail in Westland and the office hours are 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday.



To register, please bring the following to the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center during office hours:

  • Up-to-date city/township dog license (tags are not accepted - we must have the paper license)
  • Up-to-date vaccination records including rabies and distemper
  • Payment of $20 for Wayne County Residents and $25 for Non-Residents (good now until April 30, 2025)

Dog Park Rules and Regulations

These forms are required for all dogs in order to be registered with the Wayne County Parks Dog Park. In addition to filling out the form, we need copies of your city/township dog license and dog vaccination records (specifically rabies and DHLP).

HAWTHORNE RIDGE BIKE PARK

Hawthorne Ridge is also home to the Bike Park and Pump Track. The paved pump track has an adjoining bicycle skills park and is open year round for all ages and skill levels.
