Over a decade after we first met the Parr family, they're back. And they're more superpowered than ever. Set directly after the events of the first movie, Brad Bird's *Incredibles 2* lets Holly Hunter's Elastigirl take the heroic reins this time as another billionaire tries to change the public's perception of supers. It's a sweet sequel to a lovely story about family.

This Netflix original directed by Mark Osborne won the César Award for Best Animated Film, and it's not hard to understand why. The film follows a little girl whose childhood is being taken away by her overly controlling, perfectionist mom. Through the story of one special Aviator and his fox friend, she slowly learns to embrace the unknown.

***Coraline***

From director Henry Selick and based on the book by Neil Gaiman comes one of the most beautifully dark children's movies around. While exploring around her home Coraline (Dakota Fanning) discovers a secret portal to an alternate world where her parents actually listen to her. Yet appearances are deceiving in this trippy CGI film.

Starring Miley Cyrus and John Travolta, this Byron Howard and Chris WIlliams-directed feature follows an upbeat dog who's an action star when the cameras are rolling but a regular good boy when they stop. The only problem is he doesn't realize he's a TV star. When he comes to believe his owner is kidnapped, Bolt goes on the adventure of his lifetime and realizes that he's heroic in a different way than he previously thought.

***Mary and the Witch's Flower***

It's the only movie that can swing from making surfing Elvis jokes to heart-breaking insights about how hard it is to feel different.
