Primaries by state

All 50 states are holding primaries for state or federal offices in 2024. In Louisiana, all candidates will appear on the November 5 primary ballot regardless of partisan affiliation. If one candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, they will win the election outright. Otherwise, the top two candidates will advance to a general election on December 7.
