In January 2023, we started planning for a huge leap forward in improving user experience by rolling out a unified authentication system 🔐 The goal? To get rid of the burden of managing multiple accounts for different Toggl products. We wanted users to have a single access experience across them all. Internally, we named it Shared Auth—a complex project involving multiple teams. And we needed to get it done while maintaining zero downtime. In this article, our tech leads Henrique Pinheiro and Kevin Piotrkowski along with Principle Product Manager & Team Lead Liisa Ringmäe walk us through every step of this 𝙝𝙪𝙜𝙚 project.
