Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall put on affectionate display as they attend Royal Ascot with Prince William and the Middletons

Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall put on an affectionate display as they attended Royal Ascot today with Prince William and his in-laws.

The Royal Family was out in full force today to attend the second day of the races in Berkshire.

Zara Tindall, 43, who was elegant in a white floral dress, was pictured warmly greeting her cousin Princess Beatrice this afternoon.

Princess Anne's daughter was spotted giving Beatrice a kiss on the cheek and put an arm around the royal mother-of-one, who was dressed in a pink floral dress and matching fascinator.

What's more, Zara also gave Beatrice's mother an equally warm greeting and was seen placing a hand on the Duchess of York's shoulder.

Sarah Ferguson, 64, cut a sophisticated figure in a white figure-hugging dress and black hat with bow detail.

After this sweet exchange, Zara's husband Mike was pictured giving Sarah a warm hug during the drinks reception.

Zara was later seen speaking with Prince William and his mother-in-law Carole Middleton.

At one point in the conversation, Zara was pictured affectionately adjusting her cousin's jacket, which he had paired with a top hat.

Princess Eugenie was also seen deep in conversation with Carole Middleton before the races got underway.

The royal opted for a white knitted midi dress and pink fascinator for the occasion while mother-of-three Carole was elegant in a blue Self-Portrait gown.

The Middletons' outing comes after their daughter Kate, 42, who has been receiving chemotherapy for an undisclosed form of cancer since February, made a spectacular return to public life during Trooping the Colour on Saturday.

Carole and Michael Middleton's last public appearance was at Kate's annual Royal Carols: Together at Christmas at Westminster Abbey in London in December.

Three months later, Kate announced her cancer diagnosis to the world.

Carole, 69, sporting a £350 light blue frock from Self-Portrait for today's outing, has reportedly been supporting her daughter through her cancer treatment at her home in Windsor.

Her floral dress appeared reminiscent of Kate's £1,275 blue lace creation by Elie Saab, which she first wore to Royal Ascot in 2019. It also featured a dainty bow and pleated detailing.

Proving to be a queen of coordination, Carole teamed her long-sleeved summer dress with a matching light blue fascinator, featuring a statement flower, and a pair of dark blue heels.

With a stylish clutch bag in hand, she finished off her stunning look with a smattering of glamorous makeup and a pair of gold earrings.

Royal Ascot, the jewel in the crown of the UK racing calendar, started yesterday with the Queen Anne Stakes and will run until Saturday.

Standards have not slipped from yesterday's display of glamorous fashion, with revellers arriving at the Berkshire racecourse this morning dressed to the nines.
