A mom who only dedicates two hours a day to homeschooling her daughters insists on teaching them how to trade - claiming she's setting them up for a life of financial success.
Amanda Custer, from California, first began learning the ins and outs of trading four years ago, hoping to make a few extra dollars.
The savvy mom - who now teaches people how to trade with her company Forex For Women - wants her young daughters to learn the financial skills so they can hit the markets when they turn 18.
'Homeschooling takes them less than two hours a day to complete,' Amanda explained to Absolutely Business.
The mom, who shares Adalyn, 12, Lucille, 10, and Anniston, nine, with her husband, says she focusses on 'freedom' in her schooling and hopes she's setting her kids up for life with the financial skills.

Controversially, Amanda also lets her children set their own schedule after they get up at around 8am

She explains how she wakes up at 6am and her kids get up two hours later - at about 8am.
'My husband and I are both entrepreneurs so we have full control over our schedules,' she explained.
During the week the girls have extra curricular activities such as dance, sports, art, and enrichment classes, and outside that her daughters have complete control over when they complete their lessons.
'I give [the girls] the freedom to complete their schoolwork at their leisure as long as it's done before the day is over,' she explained.
'The rest of the day, they get to live with complete freedom to choose activities, riding bikes outside, beach days and so much more,' the mom added.
The emphasis on freedom and having a flexible schedule to allow them to fully enjoy life was spurred on by the loss of their fourth daughter, Carsen, in 2015.
Carsen suffered from severe disabilities and died at the age of five.

'We learned how short life is, and that freedom to be together was the biggest goal and dream for our family and our children's future,' she recalled.
'You just never know what tomorrow will hold, why waste it doing something you don't love for a paycheck?'
Amanda said she now only trades for '15 minutes a day' from her phone, after developing a system that allows minimal contact time so she could be a fully present mother.
'It took me three years to develop my system and this is now the same system I teach thousands of other women around the world who crave simplicity and freedom,' she shared.
Amanda has taught her children how to read the charts so they understand what is happening and explains how she enters opportunities - but assures people they won't be live trading themselves until they turn 18.

'They fully understand how to read the market and get into successful positions in a demo broker account,' she gushed.
'Most people think trading is difficult, but when you really look at what is happening right now in the market, it's actually quite simple to see that the market is either going up or going down,' she explained.
'I teach them that our goal isn't to predict what is going to happen next in the market. It is something to take advantage of what is currently happening,' she
'I teach my girls, the same way I teach the women in Forex For Women - keep it simple,' she added.
The loving parents believe that homeschooling their children will teach them independence and 'give them a thirst for life and freedom.'
'I always tell my children that their only task in life is to be happy,' she said.
'Whether that means they go to college and find a career, become a day trader or an entrepreneur, the choice is theirs and I will support them,' she added.
The mom says she sees her trading skills as a legacy skill to teach her children and pass on to future generations.
'My children and their children will always have the knowledge of this skill so that they can put their money to work for them, which will allow them to "work" for fun - instead of "working" for a paycheck,' she shared.
