Back behind the wheel! Jeremy Renner is snapped enjoying scooter outing with daughter Ava, 10, after revealing just how close he came to death following horrific snow cat accident
- Jeremy Renner, 52, was spotted with his daughter outside their LA home Sunday
- The sighting comes after Renner and family were seen at a Six Flags in Valencia
- It also follows a bombshell interview featuring the 52-year-old and Diane Sawyer
Jeremy Renner has been spotted with his daughter outside their sprawling LA mansion - with the star appearing surprisingly spry on a motorized scooter.
The sighting comes days after the actor and only child Ava, 10, were seen during a family outing to Six Flags in nearby Valencia - which itself came hours after the airing of a bombshell interview featuring the 52-year-old and Diane Sawyer.
Airing on ABC, the sit-down was the actor's first since he was nearly killed by a snowplow at his other residence in Lake Tahoe, breaking more than 30 bones and undergoing multiple surgeries in the process.
Now on the mend, Renner - who had been trying to save his nephew when he was injured by the seven-ton snow cat - has since made an effort to spend more time with family, as well as keep fans updated on his condition.
At Six Flags Friday, Renner was seen manning another mechanized scooter - though one markedly different with four wheels, and typically reserved for disabled riders.
In fact, Renner's ride looked more recreational than necessary, with the star easily keeping himself upright with both legs during the brief Easter excursion - and even appearing to crack a smile for the nearby cameras.

Despite the festive occasion, the father and daughter appeared somewhat dressed-down, with Renner donning a T-shirt and pair of cut-off denim shorts, and Ava still in pajamas and slippers.
The youngster appeared less than thrilled by the media attention she and her famous father were receiving, while Renner looked noticeably happy, despite being three month's removed from his highly publicized accident.
Sporting not one noticeable mark on his person, the actor's appearance was a far cry from the likeness seen in photos shortly after the accident, showing his sad state moments after being airlifted to a Reno hospital with 'critical' injuries.
At the time, the damage the actor sustained - despite drawing relentless news coverage - was shrouded in speculation, with many wondering at the time if the actor would ever grace the silver screen or even walk again.
Now, however - more than three months after the mishap - it appears Renner is doing well, revealing to Sawyer that he is now walking with very little assistance, even after having metal plates put into his shattered torso and eye socket, which also caved in.
'I've lost a lot of flesh and bone,' he told Sawyer, before adding: 'But I've been refueled with love - and titanium.'
Also surgically placed inside the actor was a titanium metal rod, in his shattered left shin, to hold it together after it was caught and snapped in the undercarriage of his family's seven-ton snowcat.
Last week, the actor - held together by the assortment of plates and screws - appeared for an interview to speak about both the accident and his continuing path to recovery for the first time, with Sawyer presiding over the anticipated spot.
He described how he and his 27-year-old nephew, Alex Fries, had been trying to clear the road outside his Lake Tahoe home before the near-fatal accident so that his family, Ava included, could go skiing.

Fries, the actor recalled, was trying to maneuver a pickup truck, while Renner was helping clear the way with the aforementioned snow plow.
Renner told Sawyer he had been trying to free his nephew's pickup when the accident transpired, sending the plow he had been piloting skidding in his nephew's direction.
At the time, Renner recalled, he could not see Fries, and was concerned he would be hit.
He then chose to lean out out the cab to get a better view, likening the move to 'driving a car with your foot [hanging] outside.'
He told Sawyer the decision was a 'mistake,' describing how he fell and frantically tried to reenter the cab before sucked into the vehicle's still-moving tracks.
'That's when I screamed,' Renner said of the blood-curdling pain than ensued.
'When I went under the thing,' he recalled, 'I moved my legs, and I said, that one's really messed up. That leg is going to be a problem.'
Sawyer asked if he remembered the pain, to which Renner replied: 'Oh, all of it. I was awake for all of it.
'I was on asphalt and ice. It feels like you imagine it. I could see my eye from my other eye. I was seeing stars,' he said.
His injuries included a shattered right knee, broken jaw, and broken clavicle, as well as a punctured liver and a collapsed lung.
He further recounted how he began loosing hope as his nephew frantically dashed to Renner's home where several members of his family had been staying for the holiday, before jolting himself back to reality.
'What does my body look like? Am I just going to be like a spine and a brain like a science experiment? Is that my existence now? What is my existence going to be like?'

Renner said he refuses to be victimized by the situation and is focused on recovery
When the prospect of death entered his head, the Hawkeye star recalled telling himself, 'not today, motherf*****,' before being helicoptered out of the area.
As he waited for first responders arrived, Renner said his mother, Valerie, never left his side, and has since been nursing him back to health at his LA home more than 500 miles away.
Valerie was not seen outside the residence Sunday with her now recovering son and grandaughter - whose mom is Renner's ex-wife Sonni Pacheco.
The Hawkeye star first revealed he was back on his feet last month following two grueling surgeries that saw doctors repair his badly mangled body.
His injuries, he told Sawyer, included 12 ribs on one side, and two on another - as well as a broken right knee, ankle and right shoulder; a collapsed lung; a broken jaw and eye socket; and a pierced liver.
That said, on Sunday, Renner appeared well on the road to recovery, putting weight on both legs after being seen in a wheelchair and four-wheeled scooter for the Sawyer interview and Six flags excursion, respectively.
On Friday, Renner posted a picture with his family at the theme park celebrating Easter. 'Good Friday,' the actor captioned the post. .Made magic on the mountain with some of my amazing family!'
Sitting in his wheelchair speaking to ABC's Diane Sawyer, Renner held back tears as he revealed the moments in hospital when he couldn't even speak to his family.
'I was signing that I'm sorry, cause I am sorry,' he said before speaking of how his mother never left his side.
'She's reading Stephen King, some horror thing. But she reads it like she's reading Dr. Seuss to me,' he said.
His mother, Valerie Cearley, added: 'I just wanted him to hear my voice.'
Cearley broke down when she recounted the moment that she heard of her son's accident and said 'his breathing was so horrible.'
Pictures from the scene showed a pool of blood where Renner had been crushed.
His neighbor, Rich Kovach, remembered the moment he made the harrowing 911 call that would ultimately save his life.
'The sounds that were coming out of him, there was so much blood in the snow,' he said.
'When I looked at his head, it appeared to me to be cracked wide open, and I could see white, I don't know if that was his skull, maybe it was just my imagination, but that's what I thought I saw.'
