At the beginning of the call

At the beginning of the call, when you start to explain what you are actually calling about, be clear that this is a call about wanting them to change from their current (if they have one) to Cinch. Don't try to deceive or be less then totally honest. During discusion it will come out that this is what you are really wanting to do and it will put the person on guard and less trusting of anything you say.

was not satisfied with answer and what I saw online as the "Sample Contract". Too much, "well it's in the contract you will receive". So I sign up and then read the real contract. Hummm...

Peace of mind

I have not had to use the service yet but the price is excellent for all of the potential problems that could occur, at some point I will need an appliance or home equipment repaired, the cinch plan certainly gives me peace of mind.

If I could give 0 I would - Stay away from this company!

Working in the insurance industry myself I am absolutely appalled as to how this company conducts "business" (more like scamming people who are trying to do the right thing to protect themselves with coverage when purchasing a new home)
-Our HVAC unit needs to be replaced after a very nice serviceman came out to check on our system - he reported back to Cinch and I get a TEXT saying that the claim has been denied with no reasoning.
-I call Cinch - cannot get anyone's direct name or number, and wait on hold for extended periods of time.
-Finally get a rude "manager", Joyce on the line whom advised that someone denied my claim "in error" due to "insufficient maintenance" however, lack of maintenance IS covered under my policy. She reopens for investigation.
-A few hours later, I get a call "denied" and the Cinch representative alleges that the Mechanical company that came out to assess the HVAC was "mis-matched"-he couldn't provide ANY more detail just kept siting the exclusion on their policy. I advised that I would be in touch and complete my investigation myself, he advised "that's fine but your claim is denied and I sent a letter out"
-I then followed up with the Mechanical company whom advised that they NEVER stated this was a "mis-matched" system and further advised both units were installed at the same time with the same manufacturing company.
-I call Cinch, speak to the next "manager" whom repetitively spoke from a script speaking about the "tonnage" and was not LISTENING to the fact that I confirmed with the HVAC expert that this system is not mis-matched.
-This manager then advised that I would hear back from a manager the next day however could not provide a name or number of this manager.
-Now here I sit, the next morning 10AM, freezing as I work from home (I have 3 young kids with a non-functioning HVAC in March!) and I call Cinch - after being on "hold" and transferred around for 1 HOUR they advise that they cannot locate another manager to speak to me right now and they will have to place me on a "call back"
I AM SICKENED BY THIS COMPANY. Even more so, I feel awful for Long and Foster and their name as a reputable company to have a snake company like Cinch handling their home warranty program. I will be discussing this with my agent whom actually is the Broker and updating him immediately.
- I will post another review with an update after they try and find their 3rd illegitimate excuse to deny this claim. I cannot imagine the amount of people they have scammed out of money who accepted the fact that their claim was "denied" improperly. How dare you Cinch.

Cinch repair = FIRE HAZARD

March 19, 2020 UPDATE - After 37 days since I first filed a claim regarding my clothes washer in which Cinch sent to a contractor to my house 3 times, multiple parts were replaced, and TODAY one of the replaced parts MELTED and SMOKED out my house! Good thing I was home... I can’t imagine what would have happened if I wasn’t there to put out the smoke (which by the way, my wrist got sliced in the process of trying to access the smoke in the internal part of the machine). Regardless, it put my entire family at risk. After contacting Cinch about this, instead of approving a replacement machine, Cinch is scheduling yet another company to look at our machine... again dragging out the process with no resolution guaranteed. #cinch #cinchhomewarranty #marylandinsurancecommission

Initial Review March 11, 2020:
Horrible experience with Cinch. It's been one month since I filed a claim regarding my clothes washer and it is still not fixed or replaced. The technician who was sent for the repair said 2 parts were needed in order to fix the washer. After waiting weeks for the parts to arrive, the technician arrived again today, only to discover yet another part needs to be replaced before the clothes washer can function again.
