Exciting News! theScore’s Jolene Latimer has been named a finalist for the “Excellence in Sports Reporting” award from RTDNA Canada for her profile of Jessica Campbell, the first full-time female coach in the AHL. The RTDNA Canada Awards honour the best journalists, programs, platforms, stations, and news gathering organizations in audio, digital, and video formats. Last week, Campbell became the first full-time female coach in NHL history when she was named to the Seattle Kraken's coaching staff. Notably, GameSquare still owns 100% of FaZe esports. 🔥 Ludwig Just SOLD His Company A year ago, massive streamer and content creator Ludwig created a production company called offbrand to run events for himself, and for other creators looking for some production help. But he just sold it, for $2. To pair with the announcement, Ludwig also announced that offbrand has hired game developer PirateSoftware (aka Thor) to launch a game publishing studio. And they’ve already announced their first game: platform fighter Rivals 2, which is launching its’ beta on Steam soon. 🔥 Elden Ring’s DLC Is LIVE Lastly, we’ve got what is probably the largest general gaming news in months: the release of Elden Ring’s first and only DLC. The Shadow of the Erdtree expansion is the latest update to FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, which many believe is one of the single best video games ever made. The expansion is already off to a massive start on Steam and as usual with SoulsBourne games – has Twitch streamers throwing fits trying to beat it.
