King Charles' heartwarming comment to fellow cancer sufferer revealed - as monarch celebrates 25th anniversary of Senedd's opening in Cardiff
King Charles and Queen Camilla (left) appeared in high spirits this morning as they arrived in Cardiff for a royal engagement. The royal couple visited the Senedd to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the government building's opening. The Queen (right) , 76, looked elegant in a light pink coat dress with subtle fringing running down the front. Camilla also donned a woven hat and nude heels for the engagement with her husband. Upon arrival, the royal couple were greeted by First Minister of Wales Vaughan Gething and Llywydd of the Senedd Elin Jones. As well as being taken on a tour of the building with his wife, King Charles delivered a speech partially in Welsh to mark the anniversary.

Prince William, 42, visited the London Borough of Lambeth where, 12 months ago, he launched his five-year, £3million Homewards initiative that aims to tackle all forms of homelessness, which 'touches the lives of far too many people'. During the past year, the Homewards teams in six UK locations have been building collaborations between the public, private and third sectors with the aim of laying foundations. Homebase pledged £1million to the project, which is also supported by Pret-a-Manger. The coffee chain has also expanded its scheme employing the homeless. The prince's commitment to tackling the social issue reflects his understanding of the 'trauma' experienced by rough sleepers, an official advocate for the project has suggested.

Princess Märtha Louise of Norway has revealed the new monogram that has been created ahead of her wedding to Shaman Durek Verrett - but revealed that the cipher is 'not official'. The piece, which which was created by an agency called Anti Hamar, was described by the royal as 'a wonderful emblem embedded with important symbolism for both [Shaman Durek] and myself embracing our love'. It features both of the couple's initials, alongside hieroglyphics and Egyptian symbols which have meanings that are specific and symbolic to them. Royal houses customarily release ciphers when couples tie the knot, with the Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex among those with their own monogram. But as Märtha Louise, 52, pointed out, her cipher is 'not official'. Sharing the image on Instagram, she wrote: 'This is not an official monogram, as I no longer represent the Royal family at official functions.'

Nicole Austin, from Worthing, Sussex, often makes videos showing her candid council house to highlight the reality of being a mother to four children.
