A couple who spent nine weeks transforming their new house into a forever home have shared their advice on the best things to do while renovating your home.

Partners Jess and Ry have documented their journey on TikTok under the handle @renovationsatno.3 after purchasing a property in Staffordshire that needed extensive refurbishing.

Sharing initial posts of what they had done in just four weeks after acquiring the keys to their home, the duo shared pictures that showed them shredding the kitchen, before they proceeded to remove skirting boards, architraves and wardrobes in the master bedroom.

Also unhappy with the state of the conservatory adjoining the house, they chose to knock it down completely, after which they rewired the electrics and removed floorboards and joists to be able to install underfloor heating.

To make more space in their new abode, the couple also opted to replace the garage with a kitchen.

Posting last week to share an update on how their project had been developing, they said that the process of plastering had finally begun - although this had left the somewhat hazardous obstacle of fresh plaster all over the house.

They had also succeeded in installing downlights, while navigating the tricky task of electrics by fitting and powering each plug socket and light switch used.

Moving on to development elsewhere in their home, Jess and Ry had fitted the stairs, a boiler, a front door and had appliances delivered for their kitchen.

Reacting to the video on TikTok, other users were quick to praise the couple for their extremely fast and efficient work.
