Jason Derulo abruptly stopped his concert in Leeds to relieve himself - and posted a silly video documenting his dash to use the bathroom.

In the middle of performing his new track Spicy Margarita, Derulo, 34, informed fans he had to use the bathroom - before he rushed backstage to urinate into an empty Gatorade bottle.

'Do you mind if I just go use the bathroom real quick?' he asked the crowd, who all groaned their disappointment.

Derulo - who performed in Australia last year - then completed his bathroom break backstage as footage of the audience awaiting his return flashed on screen.

After he finished using the bathroom, he handed the bottle to an assistant who placed it alongside several other Gatorade drinks.

'Alright back to the show!' Jason said as he returned to the stage, his fans responding with cheers.

Meanwhile, an unlucky stage hand is shown reaching for the Gatorade bottle Derulo had just relieved himself in.

As he prepares to drink the bottle, Jason's entourage attempt to stop him.

In video posted of the moment by a fan who attended the show, the crowd were much louder with the boos after Jason announced his bathroom break.

Jason posted the moment to his Instagram and captioned it: 'When you gotta go you gotta go.'

Of course, the whole video appeared to be a joke.

Jason is currently in the midst of his Nu King world tour, and will be traveling throughout Europe for the remainder of March.

The Talk Dirty singer will be returning to the United States for a residency in Las Vegas, set to begin May 17.

The singer will be performing throughout May to July at the Venetian Resort. 'Let's go to Vegas Baby!!' he posted to Instagram with show dates.

Jason is also a father to son Jason King, two, who he shares with ex Jena Frumes.

Previously he said he wasn't prioritizing his love life: 'Dating is definitely not a focus for me,' he told People last summer.

'In those places I just let life happen and I'm not necessarily looking for anything at all. So it's my eye on the ball right now, honestly,' he added.

Derulo says he doesn't regret all the attention he placed on his career, adding he is 'happy with the way that things turned out.'

'I have held onto the relationships that don't waiver. Some people can come in and out of your lives and some people are there for the long haul, no matter what. And my family is there for the long haul,' he said.

'I read something just recently and it talked about how when you get married with somebody, that person is there for a time period and you have them for a time,' he added. 'Even your kids, they have you for a time, but your siblings and the people that are closest to you, those are your ride or dies that you get the majority of the hours with.'
