Derek Hough - who turns 40 next year - flaunts his toned torso while wearing black shorts and a cap during a hike in Los Angeles

Derek Hough was spotted enjoying the summer heat in Los Angeles.

The four time Emmy winner, 39 — who recently revealed the heartbreaking reason he 'could barely' watch Celine Dion's documentary — showed off his built figure alongside his wife, Hayley Erbert, on Tuesday.

He went shirt-free, rocking a pair of black shorts and a cream-colored cap while carrying his T-shirt. 

Erbert, 29, wore a a black T-shirt with the Back Street Boys on front and flaunted her legs in a pair of black booty shorts. 

She wore her hair back in a bun and carried her phone while enjoying a power walk in the morning heat.

The pair appeared to be in good spirits as they enjoyed light exercise together. 

Their outing in the City of Angels comes just weeks after the Dancing with the Stars vet told Extra that having children was in their future.

'She's been my strength, when I look at her and I'm feeling tired or like overwhelmed or something I just look at her and all is right,' he first told the outlet. 

When asked if he was hoping to be a father the New York Times Best-Selling author said, 'Absolutely, yeah.'

Winking at his wife he said, 'What do you think babe, are you ready to do this thing?' 

Erbert was more reluctant with her response saying, 'We will see.'

While on the Couple Things podcast earlier this year, both explained that their plans took a backseat as they embarked on their Symphony of Dance tour.

'If it weren’t for this tour, I’d be like, "Let’s just, whatever. Whatever can happen. Let’s start trying,"' she explained.

'But, I’m like, "There’s no way I can get pregnant on this tour". I would be dead on stage,' she joked.

The dance world it-couple went on to tease that a 2024 pregnancy could be in the cards for them with the Kiss the Girl star saying, 'Maybe!'

Derek and his longtime love tied the knot last August in northern California after eight years of dating. 

The pair — who met on the reality show Dancing with the Stars — said 'I do' in front of 106 guests.

A-listers in attendance included Derek's sister, Julianne Hough, Nina Dobrev, Shaun White and  Robert and Kym Herjavec. 

Their romantic first dance as a married couple was to Forrest Blakk's Fall Into Me.
