Bruce Willis' wife Emma Heming shared heart-melting images of their daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, celebrating the Fourth Of July.

The 69-year-old actor's family have rallied around him amid his decline with dementia, including his first wife Demi Moore and their grown daughters.

Now Emma has posted a sweet Instagram album showing the way their little girls managed to enjoy this week's holiday in spite of their family's ordeal.

Emma, 46, and her girls wore cowboy hats as they posed against a farm fence, with a picturesque backdrop of sunset behind pine trees and mountains. 

Evelyn apparently wanted to wear cowboy boots but did not have a pair to hand, so she decided to substitute snow boots.

'Happy 4th of July!' Emma wrote in her caption, playfully adding: '*and if you don’t have cowboy boots, just put your snow boots on, it’s fine.'

Her album included a video of her children sitting by the side of the street and watching a patriotic parade of horsewomen carrying American flags.  

The post came exactly a week after Emma rang in her 46th birthday by remembering the way Bruce used to pamper her for the occasion.

She posted an Instagram montage awash with images of past birthdays, including snaps of Bruce taking her and their daughters to a theme park and the beach.

'Bruce would call it my "birthday month,"' she wrote in her caption. 'So we must celebrate! I’m blessed and grateful to have family and friends (in this video and afar) who made it so special for me all month long.'

Closing her message on an optimistic note, she added: 'There’s still a few days left of June and I’m going to ride this baby out till the end!' 

Bruce withdrew from Hollywood in 2022 amid his battle with the brain condition 'aphasia,' which causes the patient's language abilities to deteriorate. 

Then last year his family announced that his illness had 'progressed' and he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). 

Glenn Gordon Caron, who created Bruce's star-making 1980s sitcom Moonlighting, visited him and observed that he was losing his 'joie de vivre' and 'language skills.'

'My sense is the first one to three minutes he knows who I am,' said Glenn in a devastating interview with Page Six. 

'He’s not totally verbal; he used to be a voracious reader - he didn’t want anyone to know that - and he’s not reading now.' 

Bruce has been surrounded by family, including his first wife Demi Moore and their daughters Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 30. 

Rumer now has a one-year-old daughter of her own called Louetta, whom she welcomed in April 2023 with her boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.
