Love Island viewers brand Ellie a 'snake' for bringing up her history with Ciaran

Love Island viewers have branded Ellie Jackson a 'snake' for bringing up her history with Ciaran Davies after he stayed loyal to Nicole Samuel in Casa Amor.

The Casa Amor bombshell pulled fellow Welsh girl Nicole for a chat in Friday's episode, where she went into detail about her past with the surveyor.

Ellie said that she and Ciaran had been messaging for 'months' and that he had approached her on a  night out, adding that she 'knew he would downplay' their history. 

Nicole was left spiralling by the conversation, which lead a furious Ciaran to rush to speak to Ellie and clear things up.

Ellie's comments enraged fans, who slammed her for trying to 'stir the pot'. But equally, they felt Nicole was overreacting out of 'insecurity'.

During the conversation between the two girls, Ellie also insinuated that Ciaran hadn't been honest to Nicole about their past because he was 'embarrassed' by her rejecting him on the night out due to her being out with an ex.

Nicole was shocked by the information and fumed that Ciaran had 'lied' to her, telling her beau that she 'can't be a***d'.

An angry Ciaran pulled Ellie for a chat to clarify why their stories didn't match, to which she replied that he had 'sending her pictures of his dog on Snapchat'.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers slammed Ellie's approach to the situation.

They wrote: 'So she spent a couple of months watching his Snapchat stories and she’s making it out like they were deep! I guess I must be almost married to half the previous cast,';

'Oh so Ellie is upset that their relationship was not pursued what an absolute snake,'; 'Ellie crying over a talking stage, if you can even call it that. girl bye,';

'"You sent me videos of your dogs on snapchat" Ellie girl please be so serious,'; 'It’s video of dog that started this argument?? ellie you are going home,';

'Videos of his dogs [laughing emoji] AYYYY GET THIS CHICK OUT,'; 'Nah this Ellie girl is so desperate!! Is she mad because he didn’t remember her?';

'Here we go… Ellie’s passed the wooden spoon to Jess,'; 'Ellie is very strange, people cannot DM again ?????';

'Ellie told nicole about their snapchat history because she knew nicole would spin out. nicole should be confident enough in her relationship to not give a fuck about something that happened before the show but she’s not so here we are!'

Meanwhile, other viewers were just as unimpressed by Nicole's reaction, and said her insecurity will be the couple's 'downfall'.

They wrote: 'Nicole, it's enough now. I am tired of defending you. All of this over someone he pied when she moved to him in the villa? And Eli, what was the reason? What was the reason?'

'Ellie clearly liked Ciaran a lot more than she let on She knew how Nicole would overreact to what is still just some DMs,';

'Nicole is quite exhausting.. Literally tiresome to deal with at this point,'; 'Nicole’s moving mad insecure. If you don’t trust him then cut him free,';

'Nicole: I need you to tell me every single detail of your life and if not then you are a liar,'; 'You’re dragging it Nicole,';

'This insecurity and distrust will be the downfall of Nicole and Ciaran on the outside and it’s a shame bc Ciaran is trying.'

Nicole and Ciaran's reunion after Casa Amor was an emotional one, even making host Maya Jama cry in the process.

But the recoupling was not all smiles, as fans declared they were 'beyond done' with the show on Thursday night, as Mimii Ngulube was left as the only single girl in the villa following the annual Casa Amor recoupling.

In an extended blockbuster episode, viewers were gripped as they waited to see whether the boys would stick with their previous partners, or recouple with one of the glamorous new bombshells.

While they entered Casa Amor as one of the most solid couples of the series, Ayo Odukoya's romance with Mimii came to screeching halt, as he opted to recouple with Jessica Spencer.

It was a decision that left the rest of the villa, and viewers at home, floored, with a visibly-emotional Mimii left as the only single girl in the villa.

While the fallout left Jessica in floods of tears, viewers were furious, declaring that Mimii deserved 'so much better.'
