Kym Marsh, 48, reveals she's found love with her co-star Samuel Thomas, 29, as she shares a kiss with 'soulmate' a year after her third marriage broke down

Kym Marsh has revealed that she's found love with her co-star Samuel Thomas as she shared a loved-up snap on Sunday. 

The actress, 48, who met Samuel, 29, while starring in 101 Dalmatians The Musical, declared her partner her 'soulmate' as they shared a kiss. 

Locking lips in a photobooth for the Instagram update, Kym, who split from her third husband 13 months ago, hailed Samuel, 'the most amazing man ever.'

'Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou,' she captioned the post. 

Samuel commented: 'I love you.'

Sharing a black and white photo to his own Instagram account, he wrote: 'I didn’t expect you, but here you are. I love you.'

'Ditto. The best things happen unexpectedly. Love you too,' Kym responded:

The singer was previously married to Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, 48, from 2012 to 2014 and they have one child together, Polly, 13.  

Before Jamie, Kym was married to former EastEnders heartthrob Jack Ryder from 2002 to 2009.

Kym also has a son named David, 29, and Emilie, 27, with her former partner Dave Cunliffe.

She remarried for a third time to Scott Ratcliff back in 2021. 

The pair split 13 months following their wedding when Kym filed for divorce citing unreasonable behaviour. 

The couple were said to have broken up following a trial separation, due to work keeping them apart.

A source told The Sun: 'They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most.

'Kym's been so busy, and last year (being on Strictly Come Dancing) meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing, more recently she's been filming all over the place and rehearsing for a new theatre run.'

Adding about how Army Major Scott's work drove a wedge between him and Kym, the insider said: 'Scott is based in barracks down south – he's got a very busy career as well. Kym's still a working mum, too, and lives up in Cheshire with her family. 

'In the end it was the fact they lived so far away from each other that just made it impossible.'

The source said the pair 'had a trial separation' and were 'hoping to get things back on track', but added they have decided 'it's best to go their separate ways'.

In January last year, Kym revealed two days after their wedding in October 2021 Scott was sent away for a fortnight - something she 'was not expecting' and branded life as an army wife 'pretty grim' due to the distance.

As well as the stress of their distance, she admitted the danger of his job added to the problem as she was worried about war.

She said: 'There is always anxiety, it is always stressful when he goes away. 

'There may not be an actual war threat currently but there's always a risk when you're in these dangerous places.'

As well as her assessment of the distance in their lives, she also spoke about how Strictly exacerbated her anxiety - with training falling in line with Scott's time away with the Parachute Regiment - leaving the couple barely seeing one another. 

Kym is starring as Cruella de Vil in the 101 Dalmatians musical stage show. 

The musical, written by Douglas Hodge and Johnny McKnight, kicked off its tour in June, starting at the New Wimbledon Theatre in London. 

Kym said: 'I’m over the moon to be joining the cast of 101 Dalmatians playing the iconic Cruella De Vil, has there ever been a more fabulous baddie?!'

She continued: 'Obviously she’s a million miles away from me in real life - and my dogs are very glad about that - but being able to bring to life my take on this renowned character is a real treat. 

'Douglas and Johnny have written this brilliant new musical filled with songs I’m already finding myself humming under my breath. The 101 Dalmatians story spans generations and I'm sure young and old alike will absolutely love this production.'

It's been a tough few months for Kym, whose beloved father died at the beginning of the year.

The former Coronation Street staras very close with her father who died aged 78 in January, following a battle with prostate cancer.
