The Washington-Mid Atlantic Local represents members in our nation’s capital, as well as across North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.

As both a film hub and the nation’s political media epicenter, our members work under a wide variety of SAG-AFTRA contracts. And, with the overwhelming number of national landmarks across our region, including Washington D.C. itself, Jamestown, Williamsburg, presidential estates and Civil War landmarks, our local resources keep productions returning again and again.

With a deep and experienced talent pool, including Emmy-award winning CSA casting directors and a top notch crew base, we’re home to numerous feature film and television series productions. And as home to the U.S. Government, large corporations, numerous universities, as well as the political media consulting industry, our members work a variety of contracts.

In addition to entertainment employment opportunities, our local negotiates and administers over 35 broadcast collective bargaining agreements for radio and television station units. The Washington-Mid Atlantic Local is one of the largest broadcast locals in the country.
