The Equity & Inclusion Department is committed to ensuring an inclusive, safe working environment for all members and advancing equity in the workplace. In collaboration with staff, committees and the National Board, the department addresses systems that cultivate bias and inequities to ensure that every member is treated with dignity and respect and that all members have an equal opportunity to secure fairly compensated work. SAG-AFTRA has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy against discrimination and harassment of its members and others employed under its collective bargaining agreements.

Join our panel for an urgent exploration of the racial biases and inequities the result in the dramatic underrepresentation of Black people in entertainment and media boardrooms, writer’s rooms, on sets, on screen and in studios. We will look at the impact of underrepresentation on content creation and representation and discuss the ways we can address systemic biases in our own front yard.
