Welcome to Portland! The Rose City is an artistic place, bustling with creative life. It is nestled in green hills along a river, shining with a blend of classic and modern architecture.

Surrounded by vast evergreen forests, majestic mountains, storied coastlines, high desert and endless outdoor adventure, Portland serves as a beacon of opportunity for our industry. Our knowledgeable local staff and dedicated leadership support SAG-AFTRA members and work with entertainment industry professionals in this fast-growing and innovative region that values community, creativity and productivity.

The SAG-AFTRA Portland Local represents actors, stunt performers, broadcasters, singers, musicians and dancers in Oregon and Southwest Washington. The Portland Local offers regular educational opportunities for its members so they can stay sharp and up-to-date with their skills.

Thanks to Oregon’s film incentive programs and its creative spirit, production in our region ranges from full-length feature films and TV series to commercials and corporate/educational projects, to locally-made independent films and web series.

Studios such as LAIKA (Corpse Bride, Coraline, Kubo & the Two Strings), international agencies such as Wieden+Kennedy, tech companies such as Wacom, and casting offices such as Cast Iron Studios (Wild, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, Leverage, American Vandal, The Librarians) and Simon Max Hill Casting (Portlandia, Leave No Trace, Green Room) are only a few of the local industry partners that work with our highly trained talent and crew to provide all that production companies and artists need to realize their creative visions.

From fostering a thriving creative community, to empowering local members to succeed in their careers, to supporting partner unions and engaging in community service, the SAG-AFTRA Portland Local is here for you.
