Situated in the West, Nevada is rooted with beautiful desert landscapes and rich history. In the Nevada Local, members gather for Conservatory workshops, explore casting opportunities and use SAG-AFTRA resources to propel their careers. Whether you’re an actor looking for information about our market or a producer searching for talent, the Nevada Local is here to help.

Dear SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local Members and Friends!

I hope this letter finds you well. I would like to say hello and give a warm welcome to all our new members. I am very excited that you have decided to join the SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local.

There are a variety of ways to get involved. One way is through our Nevada Local committees. There are several to choose from, so please take advantage of this and select one that aligns with your expertise and interest. For a list of all committees, click here. Committee work is one area where you can effect change and make a difference.

I believe it’s vital to keep honing your craft. If you want to be a successful actor, it is essential to be one step ahead and prepared. The Nevada Local Conservatory creates programs where members can enhance their skills. All local members can attend the workshops for free.

For our members who are also filmmakers, Nevada is a unique place to film. We have everything from mountains to deserts and lakes, rivers, rural and metropolitan areas — and let's not forget the iconic Las Vegas Strip.

Unity is essential in everything we do. I want to thank all our members, non-members and members from other unions who supported us during the TV/Theatrical/Streaming strike. Whether at the strike rally or photo opportunities, your presence was felt and ultimately paved the road for a better life for us all.

In closing, I encourage our SAG-AFTRA members to participate in the informational and educational opportunities that are available. For instance, make sure the union has your email address, check the Nevada Local webpage for local news and events and visit the  SAG-AFTRA Foundation website for performers programs.

I look forward to seeing you all and hearing about your successes.

See you in the movies!
