Beware of this company!

I live in the Arkansas where the summer temperatures exceed 100 degrees everyday. While Choice did follow up on my claim promptly they then did something not only bizarre, but negligent and dangerous. The service tech actually had the parts to fix my a/c that same day but Choice said no. They opted to send the parts themselves so that the repair couldn’t be completed until three weeks! Of course I couldn’t wait that long for air conditioning in record heat wave temps. I tried calling to speak to customer service-not possible. Also they lied and said someone would call me back. Never heard anything until I got the email for this review. I will NOT be renewing. Home warranty plans are scams.

No vendor was assigned for my AC…

No vendor was assigned for my AC problem for more than 24 hours and poor customer service. Unfortunately I took a long term contract, going to cancel it as this is not helpful.

Greg was very nice

Greg was very nice, not pushy, and explained the benefit of the three year plan. Normally I don't pay that much in advance but the economy is tough to plan for these days and it seems a smart way to go.

Choice Home Warranty support and tech were great!

Choice Home Warranty support was great and Trey of HGL Maintenance Plumbing was available to fix the sewage backup problem in the basement immediately to my satisfaction.

I will refer Choice Home Warranty and Trey of HGL Maintenance Plumbing to others.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible home warranty company and I have had experience with two others. Have never had a good experience with a claim with this company--delays, hassles, denials, and uncaring customer service. Unfortunately I signed a 3 year agreement and I now know why it was so inexpensive. Would cancel it, but would not get a refund based on how they calculate a 'pro-rated' refund. I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

Choice responds quickly but being your…

Choice responds quickly but being your communicating with individuals not from the USA its very difficult to discuss your problems and concerns. This is basically the 1st claim I've had and I am running into some problems already, will have to see how this turns out.

Waste of Money

My air conditioning stopped working. My initial claim was assigned a technician that could not get to me for 8 days. It took four phone calls and several hours to get help from Choice warranty. The appointment was rescheduled for an earlier date. The AC failure happened in the Attic and the warranty company refused the claim due to them deeming it not normal wear and tear. I called because I don't understand why anything to do with an AC that's in the Attic would not be just normal wear and tear. Called to dispute and was referred back to the website again. It is very hard to talk to somebody who can actually do anything for you. The prices have gone up. I have paid $100 service fee on several occasions and not had my items fixed but it is been due to the choice warranty policies not the technicians. I would not recommend Choice warranty to somebody

Seven years with your services

My experience for about 7 years, is good, also only change the time to do services, before covid everting one or two days, but now take few more days, but after that services, tech, time, diagnostics, all is good to cover the needs for my family, thanks

I have been waiting to have a…

I have been waiting to have a compressor installed in my refrigerator since reporting receipt of the replacement part 6/14 following an initial service call on 6/7 by their vendor, Sears A&E, who has set appointments for the subsequent install, only to cancel or fail to show on at least 6/21, 6/25, 7/12, 7/13, 7/29, and 8/4.

Not for the lack of trying on my end, to date, nobody from either call center (Sears A&E or Choice) has been able to get anybody to perform the installation of the replacement compressor.

Making a claim

I had to make a claim on an AC unit. I got a call back in less than 5 minutes. I am now waiting for an appointment but so far my experience has been easy.

Plumbing Stoppage

Technician was knowledgeable on what to do to fix the problem. He was also friendly and courteous. He called to let me know when he would be here and he was on time. He was very neat and did not leave a mess when he was done. He told me what to do if I had any problems and what would be next steps if we needed them. I would definitely want this technician to work on any future problems.

Trapped hair

I put in a claim on 8-5 and the nexyt day an appointment
was scheduled on 8-7. I love the quick response. The plumber was friendly and let me know I have 30 days if any problem arise on the repairs made.

Choice Home Warranty - DONT DO IT

I don’t leave reviews but I actively researched how to leave a review to inform others not to waste your money on this company. In order to write this review I had to leave at least a 1-star rating but if I could I would’ve left a negative 3. I was a loyal customer for three yrs. and unfortunately, I cannot think of an experience that went well. First of all, you’re not covered 100%. However, the main problem, in my opinion, is that the companies that Choice has contracts with are not highly rated and well not the best. I understand that people make mistakes but if the customer service is just as bad as the work they do on systems, then you’re screwed. Ultimately, I realized that I’m better off and save money just replacing my appliances without the “help” from Choice. You can trust me or not, but if you go with this company, I’ll give you 6 mos. before you regret it. After your contract expires they’ll harass you on the phone even if you ask them to stop. Good luck!

Waited 3 days to be told no Tech available find you own

This is the 2nd time that Choice hasn't been able to find a technician to accept a claim. They make you wait 2-3 days and promise that they are escalating the issue to their dispatch team. This time after 24hrs I called customer (no)service and asked if they could just provide me the information for reimbursement if I find my own tech, I've been through this before and if no one has accepted the assignment within 24 hours they aren't going to find anyone. I was told I have to wait and that they'll escalate.

It seems like false advertising to say you have this huge network technicians and someone will typically be assigned in 4 hours. Part of the "service" I'm paying for is Choice finding and Scheduling the technician but I end up having to do in myself and wait for multiple days before they will let me.
