In the clip, which has so far been viewed more than 1.7 million times, Caroline used greenscreen to overlay herself over the screenshots.

'On today's edition of being in a relationship with a straight man...' she said with a sly smile.

'My fiancé texts me this about our wedding registry.

'He said: "Can you remove those bamboo plates?' I'm allergic to bamboo."'

Caroline was stunned by the request, responding: 'Are you kidding?'

Austin shot back with a simple 'no' before she then showed viewers the kitchenware in question.

She revealed the plates were actually Pillivuyt's Bamboo Porcelain Salad Plates.

The set of four, which come with a $109.95 price tag, are made out of porcelain with a delicate bamboo pattern running around the trim.

Caroline then responded to her husband-to-be to alleviate his concerns, writing: 'That's just the pattern. Not actual bamboo. They're ceramic.'

Austin bashfully concluded: 'How am I supposed to know that?'

The content creator uploaded the clip alongside a caption that read: 'I love the man and at least he keeps it interesting.'

And the exchange left viewers in hysterics as one quipped: 'GIRL IT'S NOT TOO LATE.'

'That would be my deal breaker,' another joked.

Someone else described it as a 'red flag' and a fourth remarked: 'Welcome to the rest of your life.'

Following the widespread furor, Caroline posted a second video as she responded to one comment that read: 'Make sure you get them in the divorce.'

She said: 'I never thought that I would wake up to a thousand people on the internet telling me to call off my wedding. But, here I am!'

But she was quick to brush off the criticism with the couple, who met on Halloween two years ago, set to be married in November.
