Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, have made headlines as of late amid their relationship woes, which appear to be worsening, as the couple have put their Beverly Hills mansion on the market, with one insider telling TMZ that divorce appears to be imminent.
Insiders told DailyMail.com on Wednesday that the Argo actor has been experiencing 'acute sadness' amid the troubled times, with concerns he could relapse into alcohol addiction as a result.
Affleck and pal Matt Damon are both producers on the forthcoming Amazon MGM Studios sports drama Unstoppable.
Lopez headlines a star-studded cast that also features Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña and Don Cheadle.

In Unstoppable - which concluded production in January, according to People - Jerome plays the role of champion Arizona State University amateur wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg.
Affleck in March of 2023 told CBS Sunday Morning that it was a pleasure to work closely with his spouse on the movie.
'What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend,' Affleck said.
He added, 'If you don't like who you're working with, and if you have difficulty or trouble at work, I think it's one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety and pain for people.
'And conversely, [if] you love the people at work, you probably have a pretty good life, you know?'
Affleck told the outlet of Lopez working on the motion picture, 'Can't make it look like she's doing it as a favor to me, but actually she is.'
William Goldenberg, who Affleck has previously collaborated on films such as 2023's Air and 2012's Argo, is directing the movie.
The two-time Oscar-winner - who is father to daughters Violet, 18, and Seraphina, 15, and son Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 52 - is also working with Lopez - who is mother to twins Emme and Maximilian, 16, with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 55 - on a Kiss of the Spider Woman adaptation.

The project, which Affleck is a producer on via his Artists Equity company, is slated to be directed by Bill Condon, and feature Diego Luna and Tonatiuh in the supporting cast.
Affleck and Lopez past worked with once another during their romance two decades back, including the famously-panned comedy Gigli in 2003, and the 2004 Kevin Smith film Jersey Girl.
Affleck and Lopez are less than two years removed from their August 20, 2022 wedding at Affleck's estate outside of Savannah, Georgia, which came more than a month after they exchanged vows in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022.
