There's nothing wrong with being popular - except for when you're naming a baby.
According to baby naming expert and Namerology.com founder Laura Wattenberg, opting for a popular moniker can be a bad thing and she claims parents are now moving away from commonly seen names.
Lauren, who also penned the Baby Name Wizard books, recently spoke with Today to share her wisdom - revealing which names are about to top the baby name charts and why trendy names are out.
'[A baby name is] not like a designer bag,' she explained. 'No one wants to think their baby has a trendy name.'
Lauren claims that cowboy-inspired monikers are about to take off, attributing the rise in rugged names to the popularity of TV series Yellowstone.

In May, the Social Security Administration announced the most popular baby names of 2023, with Olivia the most popular name for girls, while Liam took the top spot for boys.
She said names like Stetson and Colter are set to grow in popularity, inspired by the popular drama.
Also trending are names that end in 'S' - which are particularly trendy in the South.
'Brooks is already popular and will remain so,' the moniker expert told the outlet.
Other suggestions for names also ending in 'S' include Banks, Hayes and Collins.
Lauren went on to explain that another trend to look out for are 'long, multi-syllabic names that end in "I."'
She listed Meilani and Kaelani as examples of these.
Meanwhile, it seems that what's old is new again - with old-fashioned names coming back with a vengeance.
Topping Lauren's predicted list is Billy and Stevie for boys and Elsie and Millie for girls.
