    In 2021, Clay was yet to launch to the public. We were a general spreadsheet without a specific use case. Our now Co-Founder & Head of Ops Varun Anand was contemplating whether join. This year, we announced our $62 million Series B from Meritech Capital, with participation from Sequoia -- We've grown a lot. But this journey wasn't linear nor obvious back in 2021.     GirlsWhoClay is finally live! A few weeks ago I walked into Clay’s first ever in-person event in London. The vibe was awesome: a healthy combo of brains and GTM flex. I already liked the product and saw the limitless potential beforehand, but after Varun Anand’s talk I fell deeply in love with Clay: both the product and the company. On the other hand, out of sixty-something guests, there were only four girls, including the hostess Lele Xu! I have to admit it was a bit nerve wracking to be in such a minority. This must change! So, I’m starting a community for #GirlsWhoClay. Our purpose is to foster adoption of Clay amongst women in the GTM community. A healthy dose of EQ + GTM know how + Clay = 💪 I’ve already started the change with myself and enrolled into #ClayBootCamp. Join #GirlsWhoClay, link in comments! Yes, I know it’s a work in progress.     Twain 🤝  Clay Zero prompting messages  🤝  personalized outbound at scale. Clay is every GTM team's favorite playground. It is incredibly powerful. Personalized, relevant campaigns at scale. Over the years, Clay went from horizontal positioning (everyone) to vertical positioning (segment). It's pretty cool to see how this evolution happened by looking at snapshots of Clay's homepage positioning over the years. The move was key to finding product-market-fit and content-market-fit. As the positioning became more focused, growth became more unblocked.

    Have you noticed our major website makeover? Along with our Series B announcement, we wanted to showcase how our evolved positioning through a powerful new landing page. Here's the backstory: Clay is used by the world's most innovative GTM teams at companies like Notion, Ramp, ClickUp, Anthropic, Vanta, and Verkada. But no one really knew. Some still thought of Clay as a point solution for SMBs, but in reality it's the core piece of GTM data orchestration for a lot of businesses making hundreds of millions in revenue. BUT -- there's a thin line between communicating Enterprise-level functionality and being boring. Every B2B website sort of looks the same. So we asked Sara Lundberg, Mishti Sharma, and Giacomo Bottoli: "How can we communicate that Clay is used by the best companies in the world and still maintain the playfulness of our brand?" They crushed it.
