Hi, you guys, I'm Lana Condor.

I'm so excited to be here

and today we are going to do my everyday skincare routine

and my favorite kind of peachy makeup look.

This is the Neutrogena Skin Balancing Cleanser.

Let's put up the hair.

Okay.

I've always cared about my skin a lot.

I was a dancer when I was younger,

so I was always wearing stage makeup.

Even at like 10, I was always cleansing my skin

and it just, you cake it on

and you need to get it off,

so I've had to be really, really diligent

because my skin can just really feel pretty dull

if it's like wear and tear every day with makeup.

I have lashes, lash extensions,

so I have to be really careful when I'm washing my face

or doing any sort of like skincare or makeup

because lashes are very delicate

and every time a lash falls,

I always think of a lash as $5.

So every time a lash falls, there goes $5.

Next, we're going to do this Talika Bubble Mask Bio-Detox.

It has charcoal but it's also very oxygenating

so I love to use this after flights

but it looks crazy.

So you start to rub the mask and it activates the bubbles.

My boyfriend and I,

he is almost even more into skincare than I am

because he has a little bit more sensitive skin

so he has to really be specific with the products he uses.

Skincare is for everyone, you know?

And it's so [laughing] I told you I was gonna look insane.

I don't know how much longer I want to sit here

in front of Vogue [laughing] looking like this.

This is the Invisible Daily Defense

face serum from Neutrogena

but it also has 60 plus SPF.

Put it on your fingers, rub it in.

And if you can find sunscreen that you like,

just commit to something that's easy.

Your skin will be better, your future will be better.

Wear your sunscreen.

Okay, sunscreen's on.

I'm using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel.

[upbeat pop music]

I am so moisturized.

Feeling good.

I know some people roll their face

like as their first step.

I'm going to roll it just ever so slightly.

This is an ice roller.

Under my chin.

This is the iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex.

I love this eye cream so much.

I just put a tiny on your ring finger.

I'm adopted, so I'm not sure if this is hereditary or not

but I'm assuming it is,

I have a really dark pigmentation under my eyes

and I've always thought like, oh,

that probably runs in my, you know, my biological lineage.

When it comes to my appearance

and just my identity in general,

it's been such an interesting journey

learning and establishing, you know,

who I am, where I came from,

while also accepting the fact that this is how I grew up.

But in terms of beauty and skincare,

my mom has been able to tell me

what works for her

but since we don't have the same actual biological makeup

and we don't have, you know, our skin is different,

I've had to actively kind of go out by myself

and figure out what works for me.

So, let's get into makeup.

I love this brand so much.

It's just like beauty oil.

Put in on your elbows, put it on your cuticles.

I love it.

It feels just like a breath of fresh air in like a garden.

I'm going to mix the Neutrogena Radiant Cream Concealer

and the Rare Beauty concealer.

So I'm gonna put the Rare Beauty here.

I've totally been inspired by Selena's, you know,

beauty adventure.

It seems like her philosophy for Rare Beauty

is, you know, celebrating people's you know

individual uniqueness and making makeup fun,

and that's something that I really do

love and agree with.

I'm going to take her little brush,

little brush thingy and blend under the eye.

And just the concealer on the eyelid

will kind of neutralize the darkness in my eye,

so it's good.

I had this bully in eighth grade

who called me a derogatory name for an Asian person

and it really just burrowed into my subconscious

and stayed there for a while

and so I was constantly trying to find ways

to kind of hide who I was

and so I would wear so much makeup

to kind of make me look like someone I was not

and of course I'm still working on it

but now I'm super proud and confident in who I am.

You know, it's an everyday journey

but I think makeup and skincare actually has,

it's totally evolved for me

and it has helped me find who I am

and also who I'm not.

The next thing that I'm gonna do is I'm gonna use this

Anastasia Beverley Hills, I think it's like a contour pen,

and I'm just gonna do like your classic cheekbone, jaw.

I don't have a, if you see,

I don't have like a bridge to my nose.

My nose is [clicking tongue] flat

and so I kind of just like to add a tiny definition

right down the nose.

It's really more of a shadow than anything.

I have been very fortunate in my career

to play different characters

that I believe changes the narrative of how

Asians are seen in mainstream media.

My face eats blush.

I say that to every makeup artist I work with,

every photographer.

I'm like, My face eats blush.

They're like, Faces don't eat blush.

I'm like, But you don't have my face, just wait!

So I go in on the blush.

I'm just gonna put more than you think.

This goes on your lips, this is a lip stain,

but because I'm nuts

I'm gonna put a little of it on my cheeks.

Okay, let's hope this works out.

Also, I learned this trick about blush

on To All The Boys.

There was one day where I was very tired,

I wasn't sleeping at all,

I was working like 18 hours a day,

and I had been crying.

I felt great afterwards

but then I came out to the makeup artist

and I was like, Hey, sorry!

Because when I cry my eyes get super puffy

and I look wild

and she said, We'll just apply a little extra blush

to your face and no one will know that you were crying.

See, you guys thought I was crazy, but look.

All I'm saying is, it's not that much.

I'm gonna do a tiny bit.

I will put like a little extra concealer right here

after I apply my blush

because I never quite mastered getting the blush

like not here, which I know

you're not supposed to put blush there,

so I just kind of cover up any mistakes with concealer.

Boop!

When I worked in Korea, I had one day off

and I immediately went to a ton of different

makeup and skincare stores

and bought so much stuff

and then packed it all in a second suitcase

that I also bought because of the makeup

to bring back to America.

3CE, so this is a Korean makeup brand that I love

and it's a highlighter.

Gives a pretty, pretty finish

but it's very subtle, you see?

Like it really didn't...

I like to just...

blend it in and make it more like I'm sweating.

I'm so scared but we're gonna do it.

We're gonna do the eyebrows.

This is what I say.

Eyebrows are not twins, they're sisters.

I'm gonna just fill in the bald spots.

I've kept them more kind of thin.

And now [exhales] this part stresses me out.

I'm gonna do, I filled in like the arch,

now I'm gonna do a tiny, tiny bit at the front of my brow,

[sighing] this is where everything could go wrong.

Okay, okay, less is more!

See, you say, Lana, stop, stop.

Put the pencil down.

Good.

Wow, I was very fearful about that

but it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Okay, wow, look at me.

This is a palette that I also picked up in Korea

and I love it and I'm sad

because it's almost gone, I'm hitting pan.

It's also from 3CE.

So I'm going to take a fluffy brush

and I'm going to take, I don't know, nude color

and put it all over my eyes.

So, okay, my eyes are hooded.

What I've learned from working

with other makeup artists is that for eyes

that look like mine you want to bring the pigment

higher than you might think.

So I'm going to take this neutral kind of,

you know, nude shadow and do little circular motions,

but do you see how high I'm going on my eye?

Like, that looks wild, right?

But then when you open it...

It's not as crazy as you think.

Because I brought it almost to the brow bone,

you're like, oh wow, Lana!

Looking good!

I don't know really know what color that is.

I think it's like a bronze-y gold-y based tone of peachy

type of shadow and I'm gonna put it on my lid.

So again, focus it on the center,

bring it up,

and then you can see the product.

Look at that!

I want to just blend it really quick

with like a fluffy brush.

It's so pretty, so fun!

A highlighter right on my brow bone.

You look super awake.

Now I'm gonna take this brown pencil.

Dee dee.

And I'm just gonna use small little strokes

and I'm gonna just kind of like smoke out the lash a little.

It's looking out for a tiny baby, baby, baby wing.

[upbeat rock music]

See how it's just like, it almost looks like,

oh, Lana got a little bit of an eyelash fill.

She did it on herself.

I'm gonna take the other side of the pencil

and kind of make sure that everything is clean.

Oh my gosh.

There we go.

That's also like a nice little lift.

This I also got in Korea.

Remember, this is what I also mixed on my cheeks

for a little bit of a stain.

Put it on my thing, put it on my ring finger,

and just focus it on the center of my lips,

so this part.

Because I like to pull, you know,

makeup from everywhere I go,

I'm gonna add a tiny, tiny bit of liner

and line very lightly.

Ta-da!

We made it up, we did it.

I was in New York again shooting the third movie

and one of my best friends' mom,

who also plays my best friend in the movies,

Madeleine Arthur,

her mom went out and got this really cool thing.

It says it's a system of color, plant,

and crystal energies that support a deeper consciousness

and promotes your wellbeing.

It has no scent at all, it has no color,

but I like to kind of rub it on myself

because I feel like it centers me.

This is my final look.

Thank you so much for watching

and have a great one!
