[Speaker] Why are you Irish?

[gentle melodic music]

Hey, Vogue.

This is Molly Gordon

and this is my I'm just getting by look.

I'm gonna put these clips in.

I usually love to light a candle,

to kind of set an energy for me to be alone

to put on my makeup.

I'm loving this one.

My friend Micha gave it to me.

And the energy is set.

Then if I wake up and I look like a ghost that was murdered,

I'm very lucky that my makeup artist

hooked me up with this TheraFace.

You know, I used some fancy cleansers and things,

but I just always go back to the original, the OG,

what I used in middle school.

I put on this SOS spray

and it kind of just wakes me up a little bit more.

So then I'm gonna use some Avene.

We should all have a Google Doc as ladies

to kind of talk about the journey

that you take in your late twenties

of getting back to the acne that you had when you were 13,

and it shocks you.

And ultimately a pimple can rock a day.

Next I'm gonna use this retinol.

Oh, I'm getting a call.

Hey.

[Ayo] What are you doing?

What's up?

I'm doing my makeup for one of those Vogue things.

[Ayo] Okay.

Okay, camera 28 spotted.

Yeah.

Do you have anything to say to them?

[Molly laughing]

If you had to say something

that you've learned about makeup,

what would you share?

[Ayo] Are you serious right now?

Yeah.

That I've learned about makeup

is that you have to find what works for you, you know?

And yeah.

And you also have to always put something

in front of your-

Oh yeah, I haven't been doing that.

We've been sending each other videos every morning

of procedures that we're not gonna get.

But I'll just say, Ayo and I might come back next year

with completely different faces.

And I just wanna be honest that that's gonna happen

because I'm just like, I don't know what...

I don't really know what...

[Ayo] Don't put the glasses over the skin.

Oh, you're right.

Fuck.

That's a don't.

That's a don't.

Wait, but Ay, quickly, before you go to set,

what was that lip combo you were wearing the other night

that I went, Okay...

So my best friend gave me some

like Korean jelly lip tints.

Yeah.

Okay.

[Ayo] From this brand Romand...

Wait, hold up.

Should I be giving this information for free or...

Where's my video at now?

Thank you Vogue for all your support of me, really.

So then I did the Glossier, like the lip balm underneath,

then a little bit of the tint,

then the Dior lip gloss over it.

And the lips were giving Smuckers jelly.

It was so delicious.

It was delicious. It was delicious.

It was giving Smuckers, it was delish.

[Ayo] Call me after this video.

Okay.

[Ayo] This is obviously all getting cut.

Obviously.

No, it's printed.

This is shot on film, don't worry.

Okay, love you so much.

Bye.

We are very lucky that she just tuned into that

because we've been very lost without her.

Let's dive into eye cream.

I use like this much,

I feel like I wish I wore more sunscreen when I was younger.

I wish I used more eye cream.

And I'm trying to like take it really seriously now

because I be seeing it on my face.

I look tired.

And the show does intense closeups,

which are a beautiful way to shoot.

But sometimes I'm like, oh, that girl does not look well.

I am gonna put on some sunscreen.

I love Aquaphor.

If you know me, you know I have like 75 in my bag

at all times.

I'm always offering it to people.

So first I think I'm gonna do my eye makeup,

which has been a real journey for me.

I used to wear very intense Amy Winehouse thick eyeliner

for like all of middle school and all of high school.

And then one day I was like too tired to put it on,

so I just went to school with no makeup

and this guy came up to me and he was like,

You look really tired today, Molly.

And I was like, okay, I guess I'm gonna wear that

for the rest of my life.

So that stopped about a year ago,

and now I am rocking a more natural look.

I underline my top line with the Westman Atelier liner

in brown, so it's not so intense.

Great.

And then I'm gonna take this Chanel eyeliner

and attempt this.

How cute is this?

But I keep my mini Q-tips in here for eyeliner.

I'm fixing it, but I've ultimately taken it all off.

So that's great.

It's not really even, but that is not what we're going for.

We're going for that we have done it

and we have attempted it.

So then next I usually do the Chanel water tints.

And I mix two colors.

Like, kind of like that much.

This much.

I just like to be able to see your actual skin.

I think embracing...

Oh, and...

♪ I'm working late 'cause I'm a singer ♪

That really just happened.

Okay, so...

So things happen and...

Okay.

Okay.

We've gotten rid of what the fuck that was.

Take two of the water tints.

Next I'm gonna do NARS concealer.

I've been using this for probably 20 years.

And then if I want to do a little bit more coverage,

I'll do this Hollywood Flawless filter by Charlotte Tilbury.

And I'll just kind of like put a little bit everywhere.

I think I'm also too old to be doing this,

but let's do some freckles.

Just kind of accentuating what I already have.

On The Bear it's very natural makeup, which I love.

But yeah, I would love to do something

that's like period piece or something like Moulin Rouge

or like playing a crazy character role

and have wild makeup.

So now I'm gonna go in with this bronzer.

Makes all of the like other stuff

just look a little bit more lived in.

Next I'm gonna mix these two Chanel blushes.

I love blush.

Sometimes overdoing blush.

So then if I've like put on a little too much blush,

sometimes I'll like just go back in with this randomly

to kind of just be like, let's calm that down.

And then I also...

This I've been using since I was like 11.

It's the best and it just makes you

feel like you've been kissed.

Next we're gonna do mascara.

I'm gonna use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow gel.

I used to pluck my brows.

I used to get them waxed.

I used to do the whole thing and then hives down my face.

It was honestly when I started trying to act professionally,

like maybe getting a job or two,

a makeup artist was like, Please never touch your brows.

Please never do anything with them.

And that was like a time stopped.

It was like everything everywhere, all at once.

And I was like, I will not touch my brows.

And from that point on I haven't.

Now highlighter, been kind of almost summer

and let's get a little flirty and fun.

Sometimes I'll put a little bit like

in the corner of my eye.

And now let's get into lips.

Obviously the least original thought ever.

I'm a Pillow Talk girl.

And I'll kind of overline my lips.

I have a mole on my lip

that everyone asks me if it's chocolate

because I'm always eating.

I'll put some Aquaphor on.

And then maybe I'll go back in with the Benetint.

We're kind of done with the makeup side.

So then I would set it with this Tatcha spray.

Then I'm gonna take out these clips.

I'm gonna take this rose oil.

And if I put too much on my hands,

I'll also put it on my body

and kind of put it through my hair.

This is the Everyday Oil.

It's really delish and smells really good

and is all natural and is lovely.

Thank you so much for having me, Vogue.

I wanna thank the cast of this video,

me, Ayo Edebri, these peonies.

I hope everyone has a fantastic summer.

I'm putting on my hat.

Facts forever.

And I'm ready to go.

Bye Vogue.
